Creative computers
Ever since the earliest people painted on cave walls, we have used art to explore our experiences and what it means to be human. But what if a work of art wasn’t created by a human?

In 1973, British-born painter Harold Cohen wrote a computer program called AARON. At first, AARON only made simple outlines whose color and details Cohen would later add. Fifty years later, AARON is able to paint people, landscapes and just about anything else a human could paint.

So can AARON be called an artist or creative? “[AARON] can generate (生成) unlimited numbers of images.” So according to Cohen, the simple answer is yes, AARON is creative.
